Let me introduce myself (I am the right one on the picture).
I live in Utrecht with my girlfriend Brechtje (indeed, the left one), but am originally from Oudewater, the most beautiful town in the Netherlands. I finished a Master’s double degree in Human Computer Interaction and Design at KTH Royal Institute of Technolgy in Stockholm and at the University of Twente in Enschede. The first year was in Enschede and the second in Stockholm. At this same University of Twente I finished my bachelor Creative Technology. I like to tinker, take things apart and create something new. Combining tinkering with technology makes for a beautiful combination. I like to work with both software and hardware to make a smart, interactive environment, an autonomous (social) robot or just an awesome interactive experience. I am very excited about the fast growing field of human-computer interaction and the developments that lie ahead of us.
I am member of a football team and practice ice skating and water skiing. Furthermore, I like to go mountain biking, cycling and swimming. I like to draw, listen to music, watch a movie, visit a festival and, very original, meet with friends.
My parents love boats and water skiing and they infected me as well. I enjoy nothing more than being on the water, on a boat. Small, big, motorized or sails, it doesn’t matter. The boat you see above is my father’s and I am fortunate that I can use it too.
